Techosaurus

The challenge

So many parents of young children are deeply concerned about online safety but often feel unequipped to have these conversations. NSPCC had created a Techosaurus Activity Pack to address this, providing a free, dinosaur-themed resource to help parents engage their children.

However, launching a new product is never easy. NSPCC needed a campaign that not only gave them cut through in a competitive digital landscape, but that also differentiated Techosaurus from their beloved Pantosaurus character – while still ‘walking’ alongside it. One that would inspire parents to both sign up for the pack and donate to NSPCC’s vital work – all while delivering a positive return on investment.

Our solution

Like the best campaigns, this was about blending strategy and creativity to bring Techosaurus to life. A bespoke photoshoot to capture a parent and child interacting with the pack as well as user footage generated to a specific brief – creating warm, relatable visuals that showcased the pack’s value. These images became the cornerstone of a suite of digital assets, designed to work seamlessly across Meta’s dynamic creative optimisation. Vibrant static images, animations, and videos emphasising Techosaurus’ playful approach to online safety through the core principles of Play, Protect, Ask, and Say.

Outcome

The first burst of the campaign delivered significant results. Over 1,200 Techosaurus Activity Packs were ‘sold’ and campaign revenue exceeded expectations. Social engagement was strong, with over 80% of comments tagging others to share the campaign.

“Working with Different Kettle on our latest campaign launches of Techosaurus & The Letter from Hopper the Easter Bunny, has been an absolute pleasure. Their innovative approach and dedication to excellence have consistently exceeded our expectations. They truly understand our vision and have a remarkable ability to bring it to life in ways that resonate deeply with our audience! Despite tight deadlines, the team’s flexibility, and dedication to making the process smooth and enjoyable have made our collaboration incredibly rewarding. Their efforts have helped us raise thousands of pounds for protecting children around the UK. Could not thank them enough!”
